The “Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve” project is an opportunity for businesses, race teams & fans, civic groups, school groups, arts organizations, or whoever would like to participate, to show their support for KEYS kids by wearing their heart on their sleeve for the day! For a small donation (minimum donation $2 per heart), each group designates a day in which they will “wear their heart on their sleeve” to benefit KEYS kids. Each person who participates receives a special heart sticker to proudly display on their sleeve. Here is a list of various ways you can participate, depending on the type of group you belong to. (The sky is the limit, so share your ideas with us! We are sure there are even more ways we haven’t even thought of for people to wear their hearts on their sleeves!) Race Teams, tracks & fans Help to raise awareness of KEYS kids by displaying the heart logo on your race car for the season, on a sponsor board at your track and/or by selling heart stickers at the tracks where you race! Some drivers are even wearing their hearts on their firesuits throughout the season! Corporate & Business Designate a “Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve Day” at your business! Have employees purchase hearts to wear, or sponsor the day by purchasing stickers for your staff to wear. For businesses that have walk-in customers, offer hearts to your customers to purchase, as well! Arts Partnership Special! Because KEYS is also an arts advocacy organization, in order to help arts organizations raise money for their organization, KEYS will split the proceeds of the money they raise through this project with half going to KEYS kids and half to their organization. Proceeds must directly benefit a need in their program, such as; instruments, equipment, props, trips to competitions, etc. Pick a special day and get your friends, parents and teachers to purchase hearts to wear for that day or sell hearts at a concert, play or other event you are hosting! Civic Groups & School Groups This is a great community service project for Kiwanis Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Elks Clubs, Interact Clubs, Zonta Clubs, Lions Clubs and more! Inspire your fellow members to raise money for KEYS kids we serve in your community by selling heart stickers during a certain month, or time period. Have a booth at a local store or event where you can wear and sell hearts. You may also combine this with a CD Drive to collect new or gently listened to music CDs for KEYS kids too!
