The KEYS Program's mission is to improve the quality of life of kids with cancer, serious illnesses, disabilities, and injuries through the power of music. KEYS teaches others the important benefits of music and how music can be used as an effective tool in providing therapy, improving literacy, and enhancing educational programming for children. - KEYS improves the quality of life of thousands of children each year by distributing Dawn’s Song music therapy packets to kids with serious illnesses, disabilities and injuries, and providing informational workshops for parents, medical staff and those who care for ill children.
- KEYS is a leader in the early childhood field providing early childhood trainings and workshops for educators, day care providers and early childhood organizations across the U.S.
- KEYS is raising public awareness of the significant health and educational benefits of music through national awareness efforts in partnership with the motorsports industry and through collaborations with leading organizations in the arts, health, early childhood, special needs and education fields.

The KEYS Program has a dream that all kids with cancer can enjoy the benefits of music as part of their treatment, recovery, or journey. KEYS vision is to make this dream a reality by giving away special music therapy gift packets to kids who are in hospitals, camps, and in hospice care. Sharing the gift of music is our goal and kids with cancer are our first priority. However, KEYS also reaches out to many kids with various serious illnesses, disabilities and injuries - so every child, no matter their disability or illness, is able to reap the powerful benefits of music! |

The KEYS Program has been capturing the hearts of children at hospitals, special needs sites and camps since it was founded by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Official David Bennett and his wife Colleen, after losing Colleen's father to cancer in 1994. Music therapy had such a positive effect on her father's quality of life during his battle, they decided to create KEYS in order to help children facing the same difficult time in their lives. |
